I made my first website, where you can simulate betting on NBA games

TL;DR: You can check out the website here, and the source code here. I am open to criticism and feedback as this is my first web-related project!
Hi Reddit! I am a third year CS/Math student and for the last couple months I have been learning the basics of web dev and making my first website.
I had the idea to make this website a couple years ago, I wanted to test my skills at predicting the results of NBA games, so I manually input my predictions into a spreadsheet every day and checked the results the following morning. This became tiring fast, so I stopped doing it, but then I decided to go ahead and automate the whole process. I learned a lot about everything web-related in the process: I didn't know much about HTTP, Javascript, the client-server paradigm or deploying an application before this. Overall a great experience, although it had some frustrating moments, of course :)
A few comments: * To avoid creating an account if you don't want to, you can use the username "guest2" and the password "guest". However, if someone else has made the daily bets using that account, you won't be able to make more of them. * I ask for your email during registration, but only for the purposes of recovering the password. In fact, you can write anything in that field as long as it matches the structure of an email, so just write a fake one if you're uncomfortable with it. * The backend is written entirely in Python (Flask) and the frontend is mainly VueJS. * The game odds are pulled from an API, and the scores and team records are scrapped from a major sports media website.
What I'm looking for: * Feedback on the user interface and experience. * Any ideas to improve the website, code-related or otherwise.
If you read all of this, thank you very much!

Jailed NBA ref Tim Donaghy talks about fixing games and how he bet on NBA games!

https://www.worldstarhiphop.com/videos/video.php?v=wshh20Q5PFCK1Cm3w51R
Stumbled across this on worldstar. Some interesting insight here about the NBA and the refs and how some of the games are called before the games even start!
edit* one interesting thing he pointed out from the 90s is how some NBA refs were on the payroll of the Mafia! Insane how much corruption has been behind the scenes in the NBA and how much money is really being made here

Continue to Bet on NBA Games

I have come up with a solution for NBA Degenerate Fans during these troubling times as a result of the corona virus.
I have created the NBGA (National Basketball Gambling Association)
I will livestream the games on youtube in real time as they would be played via simulations on NBA 2k and the recordings will be available on youtube.
Now we can all bet on NBA games while they would have happened real time.
I am also planning on simulating playoffs and the finals if need be.
If anybody is interested, please check out my channel

Basketball tips for live betting on NBA games

Hi guys,
I love placing bets on NBA, especially live bets. When there are game nights with multiple choices you can find a good bet.
Handicap bets are the ones where a point advantage is added to one of the teams or disadvantage to the other. This is shown usually as +2.5/-2.5.
Tonight I was watching the first quarter of the Washington Wizards against the Dallas Mavericks. Mavericks were playing at home and favorite to win the game. During the first quarter the Wizards took a point advantage of around 7, which resulted in a favorable spread/handicap of only -2.5 for Das Mavericks. This allowed me to place a bet on good odds (1.83) on a great handicap for the Mavericks to win with just 3 Points or more.
Just by watching the home court and past results/standings you can easily chose your favorites. It helps to know the game and watch it, but there is also some simple logic to abuse here. This usually can happen early in the game that you find favorable handicaps.
There might be flaws in this strategy but it worked out for the best in most situations. Would be glad to hear what you guys think.

What's a good website to check out before betting on NBA games?

I have lost some money today after not knowing that Bryant, Duncan, Parker and Ginobili were not playing. Websites like ESPN usually do not make headlines of injuries and I don't have the time at work to read game details.
What's a good side to check for betters' information?

Inspired by the Vegas odds post. Ideally a legit site that accepts USD from Paypal or Bank account, and has no history of scams, etc.

CLIS - if not in now, get in today

As some of you may have seen, Clickstream corporation ($CLIS) (OTC) recently tweeted to their shareholders:
https://twitter.com/clickstreamc/status/1278763341536731136
Now, I’ve been following CLIS for a few months now, and really believe this is the last chance to get in below 0.10.
CLIS is developing an app where players can compete for cash prizes. This includes games like trivia as well as single events like betting on NBA games or events like the Oscars.
There are a lot of big names tied to this. They have:
Howie Schwab (sports trivia genius with ties to ESPN).
Amber Theoharis (journalist for NFL).
Gregory Klem- Fomer HILTON VP is CRO for CLIS
Mykel Hawke- Ex special forces, survival expert, has had many different survival shows (going to be doing survival trivia I assume)
Brian Baldinger- NFL network analyst
Note: there have been some worries about an offering for 0.05 lingering around, but they have been slowly dropping shares priced from 0.05-0.10 over the last couple weeks.
BETA for the app expected to be announced with an official date next week, if not started next week. This is going to hype the stock price up above 0.10- probably for good.
App release in September leaves enough time for hype to continue to build. This thing is gonna explode! Get in while you can!!
And if you needed some rockets: 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀

Fun fact about Scott Foster

Foster is the official who received 134 phone calls from disgraced referee Tim Donaghy between October 2006 and April 2007, as originally reported by FOX News. That was the same period during which Donaghy admitted to betting on NBA games. The report said that Donaghy called Foster more than any other ref and that he didn’t call any other official more than 13 times.

Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleepers For Monday, February 3rd

Monday offers up a jam-packed NBA schedule, as 10 games hit the hardwood following Super Bowl Sunday. The stars are out for this slate, as the likes of Joel Embiid, Kawhi Leonard and Devin Booker should all come ready to play.
Fans can’t expect Kyrie Irving to hit the floor, though. He’s out for at least a week, while Luka Doncic remains sidelined and it’s also possible Trae Young and others are out.
That can be a bummer if you plan on betting on NBA games tonight, but it should help open up some NBA DFS value. Let’s go over the best NBA DFS sleepers as we gear up for another fun slate:
